CITY TOUR – MODERN SANTA CRUZ

Pick up and tour around the residential and comercial areas of the city.
The residential part goes by Av. Canal Isuto and Av. San Martín, Monseñor Rivero Ave. shows the area with best restaurants in town.
The comercial part, around the main square displays stores with handcrafts, clothing, electrnics and others.
Visit to the tourist interpretation centre where there is also information abouth the Jesuit Missions and the main attractions in Santa Cruz.
Visit to Arte Campo, an association where the work of the main 5 cultures in the department is shown and sold.

COTOCA SANCTUARY

Departure towards de town of Cotoca, (17 Km. out of Santa Cruz), to see the hand manufacturing area.
The area congregates the believers in the Virgin of Cotoca on the 8th and the 15th of December, when the party of the patron of Cotoca is celebrated.
On route, visit to the botanical garden, the temple of the Virgin of Cotoca, the surroundings of the main square, and the handcrafts fair.
Visit to the ceramic workshop where the production of the local ceramics is seen. Visit to a local sugar mill, to see the grinding of trapiche, the process of making sugar in ancient times. A taste of the different products from sugar cane.

SAMAIPATA - Full Day

Departure at 7:00 a.m. towards Samaipata, the Amboro National Park southern surrounding area, 120 Km.from Santa Cruz,
Arrival at about 11:00, visit the Main Square, the local Church, the Archaeological Museum, local handcrafts shop. Lunch at Landhaus.
At 14:30 hrs departure towards “El Fuerte”, which i son top of a hill at 1.950 m.o.s.l.  Enjoy the wonderful view and visit the interpretation centre.
Return to Santa Cruz seeing on route the Cuevas Waterfalls.
Arrival at about 19:00
